I kind of fell into this profession. I had never heard of Massage Therapy until 1998. I was living in Halifax, Nova Scotia at the time and my roomate was bringing home books about careers and your personality. I read through a few and Massage Therapy kept popping up, so I decided to look into it further. I found out about the school in BC, liked what I read about the profession and the school, and my journey into the profession began! I graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy (New Westminster, BC) in April 2003 and subsequently wrote and passed the BC board exam in September 2003. Now it's my turn to help people heal. I use multiple massage techniques, including Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point release and fascial manipulation. I would like to further my knowledge through post-grad classes in all aspects of pregnancy and baby massage, additional fascial classes and visceral manipulation.
